Data controller
Charles Couillard, publisher of charles-couillard.com. Contact: contact@charles-couillard.com.
Data collected
The site collects personal data only through the contact form: name, email address, reason and message content. No account, no profiling, no resale, no advertising. There is no database: messages land in an email inbox and are not duplicated anywhere else.
Purpose and legal basis
This data is used solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, which you may withdraw at any time by asking for your message to be deleted.
Form handling
The message is delivered through Cloudflare's email service to the publisher's mailbox. It is stored neither on the site nor with any third-party provider. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that uses no advertising cookie and no behavioural tracking, and which processes the IP address and technical browser signals to tell a human from an automated script.
Retention
Messages are kept in the mailbox for as long as the enquiry and any resulting exchange require, then deleted no later than twelve months after the last contact.
Recipients
Data is never sold, transferred or used for advertising or marketing. Only the publisher has access to it. The technical processors are Cloudflare (hosting, mail delivery, bot protection) and Google (the publisher's Gmail inbox).
Hosting and transfers outside the European Union
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. and the inbox is provided by Google. Both companies are based in the United States, so a transfer of data outside the European Union may take place, covered by the safeguards provided for in the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Fonts
Display fonts are hosted directly on the site's own domain. No third-party request is made to load them, and no IP address is transmitted for that purpose.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object, as well as to withdraw your consent. Write to contact@charles-couillard.com: requests are handled within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
